4.2 Front Bumper

4.2.4 Replacement Instructions

Identify the bumper for replacement

Detach lower mounting bracket bolts

  • Using a T40 Torx socket, remove the left and right mounting bracket bolts securing the bumper.

Remove front securing bolts

  • Loosen the front-facing bolts carefully to avoid damaging the rubber nuts.
  • Ensure the bumper is supported while removing the last bolt to prevent it from falling.
  • Remove the bumper by pulling it away from the vehicle once all bolts are removed.

Prepare the bumper

  • Install the bumper mounting brackets onto the new bumper using 2 M8 x 20 flanged bolts.
  • Tighten the bolts until they are fully sealed into the rubber nuts.

Install the new bumper

  • Carefully align the new bumper with the mounting brackets.

Insert the front securing bolts

  • Tighten the front bolts until they are fully seated into the rubber nuts.

Insert mounting bracket bolts

  • Loctite and torque both bracket bolts to 20Nm to secure the bumper fully.
