22. Data Protection

Minimal values transparency, hence the following sections contain information relating to how your data is processed in relation to vehicle operation and fleet management software. Data protection information also contains a list to your rights in connection to any personal data provided at anytime.


22.1 Data Processing

Purpose and Legal Basis of Processing - The following data is processed via sensors installed on the vehicle such as:

  • Identifiers: Vehicle ID, NFC key ID, and personal info submitted by employees.
  • Crash metrics: G-force impact data with timestamps.
  • Inclination alerts: Logged when vehicle tilt exceeds safe thresholds.
  • Usage tracking: Daily distance and odometer readings.

Duration of Data Storage - Storage of data is handled by our IT department and contains:

  • Warranty data: Stored during warranty plus 1-2 years.
  • Purchase history: Kept for up to 6 years (HMRC compliant).
  • IoT data: Retained as needed, removable on request.
  • End-of-life: All data is deleted unless further processing is permitted.
  • Regular reviews and consent management ensure responsible handling.

Note

Processing of mentioned data is used for detecting accidents and any vehicle misuse that may occur.

Alerts are used to notify employers to potential incidents that may have occurred through the fleet management dashboard. Minimal pursues a legitimate need for collecting vehicle data in order to make safety improvements, product monitoring and the classification of warranty cases.
